a great soup
It has been rather a tepid winter in New Jersey.We have been very spoiled with temps in the 40’s.
However, today I woke up to my Ole sciatica “yelling, snow!”.

It just seemed time for some good old fashioned Polish Pickle Soup. Yes, if you have never had this soup, it sounds very odd. But, those that have been brave enought to taste it,, we love it!! It is an easy recipe,,,, be brave–> try it!
Dill Pickle Soup
6 cups vegetable stock or 6 cups chicken stock
4 large dill pickles, shredded
1/2 cup pickle juice, from the pickle jar
2 1/2 cups thinly sliced potatoes
2 tablespoons instant flour
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons soft butter
